World Amateur Inter-Team Golf Championship
Golf Club Managers Association of Malaysia on behalf of Tourism Malaysia and all its’ sponsor are pleased to announce that we are continuing to organize the 15th Edition of World Amateur Inter-Team Golf Championship (WAITGC) this year.
The Golf Club Managers Association of Malaysia has managed this tournament since 2004. The tournament owned by Tourism Malaysia.
Objectives:
- Main objectives of this tournament are To promote Malaysia as top of mind holiday destination.
- To create awareness and to promote golfing destination in Malaysia through this tournament
- To promote Malaysia golf clubs and its’ facilities to foreign golfers
- To promote Malaysia as top of the mind holiday destination
Format
- The tournament itself is based to leisure golf tournament;
- It also seen as complete golf packages for tourists;
- Mode of play is based on stroke play and stableford point over 72 holes in 4 days;
- The tournament shall play under Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited;
